Website Design

Research

This involves gathering information about your related industry, brand, customer base, etc… The research stage is continuously expanding beyond the launch of your website, as new information may be added in time. As a professional web designer, our research is the most important initial step.

Qualifying

The information gathered during the research stage needs to be digested and organized before moving on to the Web Design Demo stage. Clarification on details may be needed. Qualifying the information first is key. Adding that right information and not just filling white-space is very important. The material has to make sense. This is a continuum throughout the design process and future website management.

Website Design Demo

For you and us this is an exciting time. You get to see your brand come to life and we get to showcase a little of our work. This stage is designed for your input and changes will be made based on your critique. Only designs you have approved move forward.

Design Approval

Never approve a web design demo you’re not happy with. We are the experts, but you know your brand better than anyone. It may not be uncommon for you to request many changes to the website prior to your final approval. Once approved, we finalize the technical details.

Complete

This stage is when you and our team are satisfied that your brand is being represented in its best light and it’s ready for the world to see. When everything is approved and we have finalize the web design demo, details, and then, a launch date is set. At this stage we also make sure that your website is submitted to all of the search engines.

Launch

Always remember, website design changes can and often do need to be done while the site is live. This is easily done with little or no down-time. Once live, your site will continue to evolve. A website is never truly complete and will always need support to continue to evolve.

Designer Tips

It looks cool and does draw some attention to the area of intended focus. The biggest issue with “flashy” animation website design is that it can causes website load-times to take longer than your competitors if not implemented properly. This can cause issues in search result rankings. Flashy animation often needs a lot of JavaScript and CSS and this will impact website loading time. Combining the right colors, images, and layouts, makes a website load fast and attracts the visitor’s attention where it is intended. This can still be a budget friendly web design.

Well, that didn’t go as planned. We all know that spending time on a site searching for what you want can be challenging. Putting links, menus, buttons, text, images, etc., that lead to a dead-end is one of the number one reasons visitors leave a website feeling frustrated. A great web designer will have a well thought-out website architecture that gives your visitors a positive experience when navigating your site. They will always have an easy way to get to where they need to be with only one or two clicks.

Never give in to a web designer that thinks that making your design complicated is a must. This is hard not to do when you have a lot to offer. But keeping the navigation options simple and fluid pays in ROI. Be direct with visitors on your site. This is where a well thought-out web design architecture is key. Complicated websites (often are not of a budget friendly web design) make for frustrated visitors. You know the rest. We like to keep it simple but interesting, useful, fast, and secure. Don’t let a web designer hang you up on all of the bells and whistles. Keeping it simple, helps keep it fast!

Always Remember!

A web designer that has your best interest at heart is a web designer that is taking their time to research your industry or niche, listening to your needs, and applying it all of the gathered intel into your web design. Always ask questions. Your first insight concerning the direction your design is going will be during the first web design demo review. Only approve what is clear and makes sense to you. Great plans can often be based on a budget friendly web design, so don’t think your site has to be complicated and expensive. Keep it simple!
